ON THE COVER: “Palazzo,” by New Yorker Charles Stevenson, is a 1:12 scale creation inspired by the 1971 film “The Garden of the Finzi-Continis” by Italian director Vittorio De Sica. As Charles confesses, “I travel to places I’ve never been through the creation of miniature houses that exist only in my imagination.” That imagination extended to seeing this palace emerging from a humble birdcage.
